Bye Iggy!

Today I had to says goodbye to Iggy. Iggy lived a long cat life. And even though he spent the majority of his life hiding, he will still be missed. The picture of him above is when he decided to check out Samuel for the first time.

I will miss you Iggy!

Pumpkin Patch Part Two

Lunch conversation gone bad...

I had lunch with my coworkers the other day and suddenly the conversation went south. There was a long pause and to fill the silence - I spouted out my potty training whoas. Yep, I said the word poopy and all. I talked about how Samuel ran away from me at Old Navy the other night and told me to go away because he was pooping (yes I got those stares every mom hates from people around). Or how he hides when he poops at home. I also told them how the two times he did go poopy in the toilet we sang about "poopy land".

I then realized that if it wasn't for my kids, I would have nothing to talk about! When I am on the phone with my friends I talk about...my kids. When I am in the elevator at work I talk about..my kids. And when I am at lunch I talk about...my kids. And when I have a break during the day, I blog about my kids.

Maybe I need to start talking about politics or something :o).

Tattletale

Sam: Corbin bit Tierney today.

Mommy: Did Aiden bite anyone? (I cheated I knew the answer because I saw them give his Mommy a bit report)

Sam: Hmmmmmmm....yes.

Mommy: Who?

Sam: Lililivia (Olivia)

Mommy: Did you bite anyone?

Sam: Nope

Mommy: High five!

Can't tell on yourself...tell on your friends.

We Interrupt this program for an important message

Even more over the top than the Circus today was...Samuel going poopy in the toilet! We had to call grandparents and make a video. We gave high fives and high tens. We even let him dance around the house, or wait, maybe we did that to help him come down from the sugar high.

Those First Things..

As a Mommy your kids first are so much fun. Like the first time they sleep through the night, the first time they smile, the first time they say something, the first trip to the park and well you get the idea. We love firsts! And sometimes with a "first" we are let down. Not too often, but sometimes. Like for example the first professional pictures I had done with Sam and Cooper. I pictured Sam gazing in the eyes of his newborn brother and it being just simple bliss. Only Sam just threw a major fit in Sears and would not get in one single picture. That was a not so fun first.

Well, today we are taking Sam to the Circus. This will be his "first" trip to the Circus. So I wonder is what kind of first will it be a....a happy one or a not so happy one? Stay tuned to find out!

Not one single meltdown. But I think the box of popcorn, lemonade, crackers, and bites of his cousin's cotton candy helped. Cooper enjoyed himself too!

Mommy Day!

Monday, October 13, 2008

School was closed today so Dave and I divided the day staying home. I was lucky enough to get the afternoon. We decided to go for a walk and enjoy the Fall day. We walked by the park and of course had to stop. As soon as we got to the park we had to turn around. Sam was sure to let the park know why....

"Bye park, I go home, I pooped"

Complete with Cup Holder and Cheesey Smile

Since your "little" brother out grew his infant car seat, you were nice enough to hand yours down. We chose your new one for its many features, including the cup holder.
