Proud

Samuel is very proud of his 2.5 teeth and chocolate donut.

Samuel's daycare had a funny story. In the "big boy" Tiny Toddlers room they don't have cribs. I have no idea how they can get 12 1 year olds to sleep on a cot for nap time, but that isn't the point and probably why they have that job and not me. Well, the process is they take 2 tiny toddlers over that at a time, pat their backs and then they fall asleep (sounds way too easy). Samuel is just like his Mommy if something is going on he needs to know what it is and be the first to know. Therefore, if Samuel is not in the first group of two to go over for a nap he gets very upset. Does he not realize that they aren't going over the to play or eat crackers, they are going to take a nap???

Samuel has adjusted to the Tiny Toddler Room. He has won the hearts of his teachers and no more tears when Daddy takes him in the morning. When I picked him up the other day he had his teachers sunglasses and a toy cell phone. Yep, he has established his "being the favorite" status once again. At least I think he has.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Video!

The proof is just a click away :o).

Not that you needed proof but I couldn't think of any creative thing to say. By the way, with walking comes falling. Samuel has had 2 accident reports from school this week from bumping his head while trying to get from point A to point B.

Samuel had his first sleepover at Auntie Terri's last night. So I got to sleep in until 8:00!! I miss him though! And when called my sister this morning at 8:01, he was still asleep!!! Why does he wake up at 6:00 at home?

Before we left him there yesterday he had Cheetos for the first time with his cousin Aaron. Thus, the orange mouth above. When I called last night he had also had popcorn for the first time too. She is soooo the cool aunt. I think he can spend the night more often. And after I explained to my sister that he would probably cry when I left and not to take it personal because he just really loves his Mommy and I am the only one for him; he didn't even cry. Didn't wave, didn't run to the door, didn't pound on the window for me to come back, just ate his Cheetos and played with his cousins. He is so grown up, a big 13 month old! Time flies.

Frisbee??

He Did It!

Samuel made it all day in the Tiny Toddler Room! But, I think he learned to scream because he seemed to do a lot of that tonight. Hmmm.

I would just like to dedicate a post to A'nya Brilynn McComb. She was taken too soon!

A'nya was born in God's hands on July 27, 2007.

Say a little prayer for her and Mommy!

It is my kicks you will always remember,
I who gave you heartburn that a dragon would envy,
I who couldn't seem to tell time and got your days
And nights mixed up.
I who never had a doubt about your love,
It is I who was able put a lifetime of joy
Into an instant.

In loving member of A'nya.

Steppin' Up

We are getting closer to walking. The problem his he lacks patience. Samuel would rather just take off than get his balance. But he can take about 5 steps and that is pretty good.

A Long Over Do Post

Working and have a toddler (that doesn't toddle) is a lot different than working and having an infant. Woo Wee! Now I know why the room he is in at school is called BUSY babies. But he is wonderful and shows his little personality more and more each day. I think he may have got a bit of his mom's personality though. My little Samuel well is a "drama prince". I get these looks like how could you do that, when all I did was move from the chair to the couch. You would of thought I was leaving to like go to the bathroom or something. Which I can't do with out giving him something play with that isn't classified as a toy. Like a remote control or my ID badge, and his favorite the cell phone. He loves talking on the phone. I am that parent I said I would never be. The one that puts her baby that can't say actual words on the phone to talk. Oh yeah, that is right I do it. But he LOVES talking on the phone. And I am not fully to blame for that trait. Only like 99% to blame. Aunt Terri gave him his own cell phone so he is pretty much way cool. He loves sharing right now. He will share his toys (and take them right back), he will share his drink and my favorite the boy will even give you the food out of his mouth! Tell me that isn't' generous. He loves driving around in his little car too! He may skip walking and go straight to driving.

But, all that isn't as dramatic or heartbreaking for his mom then the little bump we have hit at daycare. It is time for Samuel to move to the Tiny Toddlers room. And he isn't going with out a fight. So we are having some challenges transitioning him. He basically has meltdowns when you even just walk in the room. I just want to run to work and quit my job. Which won't happen but it is a nice thought. Or maybe not so nice, call me a horrible person but I somewhat enjoy going to work and being me for 8 hours a day. But you know I could probably be me at home too, but that isn't going to happen, soooo back to what I was saying. Oh yes, Samuel has meltdowns when they try to take him to tiny toddlers. I can't understand why. But they are being very helpful and trying to make this easy on him and me for that matter. It is has been hard for Dave and I to see him get so upset over it. Any Moms out there that may have experienced this and have advise, bring it on! I will take it. But not from my Mom because she would probably say I got kicked out of daycare for the same reason. I disrupted the other kids or something. I don't believe it. But yes, advise send it my way! I know he will be okay, but it is really just heartbreaking.
Wow, I am on a roll. I have had writers block for some time now. Glad it unblocked. Well there you have it, Samuel's latest and greatest.

We Were Both Concentrating Really Hard

Samuel has been standing on his own for like 10 seconds!!! He even attempts to take steps. Failed attempts, but he tries none the less. He usually ends up flat on his face :o). He is just growing up too fast for me! I know that is so cliche, but SO true.

White Diapers

Okay, what happen to go ol' fashion white diapers? Okay, not OLD fashion because I don't know how to use cloth diapers. So I should rephrase. What happen to old school white diapers? We are going for Samuel's one year pictures tomorrow (yes a few weeks early) and I need a white diaper. So if you happen to read this and know of a brand that still makes just plain white diapers please tell.

Nuggets!

The camera started working again this morning. Just my luck, I was going to buy a new one this afternoon.

Major Issue!

My camera is not working! Samuel started clapping today and I wanted to take a video and the camera will not work. I am stressing, as you can imagine. I hope Dave sees the urgency in replacing it. This will be the first day in Samuel's life that he has not had his picture taken. Okay, maybe not the first day but pretty darn close!

Another Swim Picture

This one was an action shot, excuse the blur. Samuel has loads fun at swim lessons. And I like it because he gets daddy bonding time.

Samuel's sleep habits are kind of on the fritz right now. He is pretty good about going to bed at his bedtime, but waking up is a different story. He is usually waking up between 4:30-5:30- ON THE WEEKENDS! Come weekdays he sleeps until like 6:15, when I am already awake, go figure.

I am not even going to blame his teeth. Because quite frankly, I think he will be getting dentures. In two weeks he will one! The countdown has begun. Okay, I totally tried to rhyme on purpose. I will quit while I am ahead.

First Haircut

We decided since you were pointing, waving bye bye and hello it was time for a big boy hair cut. Not to mention the fact that I could put a pony tail on top of your head and really only girls should have those.

I don't know, you are looking pretty handsome.

Um, this face is just a little scary.

Wild Times At Caleb's First Birthday

Samuel had a great time celebrating his best buddy Caleb's 1st Birthday!

11 Months Big Eyes

Here we are 11 glorious months later! The word of the month is “no”. Did you know that “no” is a game? I didn’t. But it is and it is fun. See it goes like this, Mommy or Daddy say “Samuel NO” and Samuel turns around and smiles at you and moves on. Then he goes back to the “no” object pauses looks at you to say “no” and then proceeds to the “no” object. Oh, this game can go on for hours. This game makes your crave nap time or even invent a new nap time. We love the “no” game at our house.

And it is fun and games. Samuel is starting to understand the concept of a cell phone; he now puts it up to his ear and says Da Da. The remote too, he now changes the channels. He prefers OETA, very educational. He loves his toy kitchen courtesy of Kayla. She out grew it and knew how much Samuel liked playing with the one his Grandma and Grandpa Williams house.

He is crawling all over the place and pulling up on anything he can. He can mess up the house in 2.2 seconds. I am in no hurry for walking. Crawling is enough.

His laugh is contagious and his smile can melt hearts. That is my little Samuel toothless and all. And in one month he will be 1!

Swim Lessons

Samuel started Diaper Dolphins today. He took his Daddy along with him. They played games and sang songs, though I didn’t see Daddy’s mouth moving. I think he is a natural he was kicking his feet like crazy and laughing. One part he didn’t like was climbing out. The teacher said if he can crawl he could get out of the pool. Well, that wasn’t 100% true. Dad helped him out of the water, but he made sure the teacher wasn’t looking. They will have 8 lessons and on the 4th lesson they will put their heads under water! Exciting times.

Breaking Weather

Hurricane Samuel his the Williams' Home. How can he do so much damage in such little time?

Please Don't Climb On Furniture

Thug

I pull his pants up before he goes to school and pick him up and he is "saggin" again. I vote for school uniforms.
